What this recipe is
Banana coffee here means a homemade blended drink containing banana and brewed coffee. It is not a banana-flavored coffee product or a claim that banana is part of a plain coffee's ingredients. Ripeness and milk choice will affect the result.
One small serving
Use half a ripe banana, 120 ml cooled brewed coffee, and 120 ml cold milk of your choice. Add a few ice cubes only if your blender is rated to crush them. Blend until smooth in equipment intended for the task. Taste before adding any optional sweetener.
Use cooled coffee and follow the blender's instructions. Do not blend hot liquid in a sealed vessel that is not designed for it.
Keep the coffee present
If the drink tastes mostly of banana, reduce the fruit or milk next time. If it is too thick, add a little cold liquid. Change one quantity at a time and record what you prefer.
Choose a base
The Signature gives a familiar medium-roast direction. A plain coffee with chocolate or nutty sensory notes can be a useful starting point. Those notes do not mean the coffee contains chocolate or nuts; the banana and milk are additions in this recipe.
Serve promptly
This is a fresh blended drink, not a shelf-stable product. Prepare it with clean equipment and cold ingredients and enjoy it promptly. For nutritional information, use the actual banana amount and the labels of the milk and any additions you choose.
The texture will differ from a clear iced coffee or a café latte. That difference is part of the recipe, not a defect to hide with more toppings.
